A Chair That Matches The Room
On July 14, 2026 we delivered and installed a ROSON DX-A3 at a clinic in Cabatuan, Isabela, in a custom color specified by the dentist rather than one of the standard options. The reel we posted that day follows our two technicians through the build, in a yellow walled operatory that the chair was chosen to sit inside.
Isabela is a long haul from Pasig, so a job like this is planned as one trip. The unit travels crated, the team travels with it, and the chair is unwrapped, assembled, connected and commissioned in the same visit.
Cutting The Wrap
The reel opens with our technician cutting the protective wrap off the crated unit, inside the operatory. Unwrapping indoors is deliberate. Upholstery and painted panels arrive protected, and they stay protected until they are in the room where they will live.
From there the build runs in the usual order. The base is set and levelled first, because everything above it inherits whatever error is left in the floor. Then the chair body, then the arms.
The Control Box And The Services
Halfway through the reel our technician is holding the control box. That box is the part of a dental unit nobody sees and everybody depends on. It takes the mains supply, the compressed air line and the water line, and distributes them to the chair motors, the delivery unit, the light and the suction.
Setting it correctly is most of the reason a chair installation takes hours rather than minutes. Air pressure has to be checked and regulated, the water line has to be connected and purged, and the chair positions have to be run repeatedly to confirm nothing binds and nothing leaks under load.
Two technicians work the second half of the build together, fitting the panels and the yellow trim that gives this unit its color.
Color Is Not Only Decoration
As our post put it, "hindi lang basic colors ang available sa amin", meaning the standard colors are not the only ones available. Custom upholstery colors can be specified when the unit is ordered.
This is worth more than it sounds. A dental operatory is a small room that a patient stares at from a reclined position for the length of an appointment, and the chair is the largest object in it. Clinics that have invested in a brand, a palette or a particular feel usually find the chair is the one thing that refuses to match, because it came in whatever color the catalogue offered.
Specifying the color at order time removes that problem for the life of the chair. It also costs nothing in function. The upholstery is the same material and the same construction. Only the color changes.
What To Know Before Ordering
Custom colors are specified at the point of order, not after delivery, because the upholstery is made to the order. That means a longer lead time than a stock unit, so a clinic planning a fit out should decide the color early, alongside the flooring and the cabinetry rather than after them.
