We posted about the Denjoy i-Moto on June 27, 2026. It is the endodontic motor in the Denjoy range, and its main argument is simple: one handpiece instead of a drawer with three in it.
Three Motions in One Handpiece
Rotary motion turns the file continuously. Reciprocating motion turns it forward and back through set angles, which reduces the stress that separates files in curved canals. Adaptive motion switches between the two depending on the load the file meets as it works.
Clinics that use all three usually own more than one motor, because most motors do one thing. The i-Moto runs all three modes, so the file system decides the setting rather than the hardware deciding which cases you can take.
Brushless and Cordless
The motor is brushless. In practice that means smoother delivery of torque, less heat, and a longer service life than a brushed motor of the same size, because there are no brushes to wear down and replace.
It is also cordless and compact. No cable crosses the working field, the handpiece balances in the hand for a full case, and the unit charges in the Denjoy dock with the rest of the range rather than needing its own adapter on the counter.
Certification
Denjoy states that the i-Moto is manufactured under ISO 13485 and carries CE 0123 certification from TUV in Germany. Those are the manufacturer's own declarations, and they are the marks a clinic should be asking for on any powered device it buys.
Why It Matters for a Philippine Clinic
A general practice that refers out most endodontics is losing cases it could keep, usually because the equipment makes molars slow and risky rather than because the dentist cannot do them. A torque controlled motor with reciprocating capability is the single piece that changes that calculation most.
