A Second Address in Pasig
Our showroom on C. Raymundo Avenue is where dentists test chairs. As of March 2026 there is a second DentaSource Direct address a few minutes away, and it is not for selling anything. The DentaSource Direct Training Center occupies Units 307 and 308 on the third floor of Mercedes Square Plaza, at the corner of Mercedes Avenue and Luis Street in San Miguel, Pasig City.
The reel we posted on March 28 is the first proper look inside. This article walks through what the camera shows, bench by bench.
What Is in the Room
A row of phantom-head simulators. Each station is a chairside-style unit: a mannequin head with a full dentition, an articulated LED operating light overhead, a doctor's instrument holder with handpiece positions and a control pad, and a stainless bench with a mounted screen. The stations line one long wall so an instructor can walk the row.
An interactive teaching board. At the front of the room is a large touch display. In the reel an instructor is mid-lesson on radiographs, annotating directly on the screen. Theory happens here, then the class turns around and does it on the simulators.
Working handpiece stations. The instrument holders are live, not props. The close-ups in the reel show the handpiece tubing, the foot-control pad and the light head, the same parts a dentist uses on a real unit. Trainees learn on equipment that behaves like the equipment in their own operatory.
Who It Is For
The center was built for three groups: dentists adding a digital workflow to an existing practice, dental assistants who need hands-on time with equipment before they touch a patient, and clinic owners who want their whole team trained in one place. Courses are run with partner study groups and clinical instructors, with DentaSource providing the venue, the simulators and the equipment.
The First Course: Nine Days of Digital Dentistry
The opening program is a 9-Day Digital Dentistry Course covering the full digital chain: intraoral scanning, restoration design on CAD software, and 3D printing. The first cohort had already started when this tour was filmed, which is why the benches in some frames have work on them.
The point of the nine-day format is repetition. A weekend seminar shows you a scanner. Nine sessions let you scan, design and print the same case enough times that the workflow stops being a demo and becomes a habit.
Why a Distributor Runs a Training Center
Equipment is only as good as the hands using it. We install chairs, scanners and endo systems across the country, and the most common after-sales call is not a fault. It is a team that has not been shown how to use a feature. A training room with the same equipment, a few minutes from the showroom, is the most direct fix we could build.
It also gives study groups and clinical educators a venue with simulators and equipment already in place, so they can focus on teaching rather than logistics.
