Opening A Sealed Box
On July 13, 2026 we posted a short reel of one thing: a sealed Denjoy carton being opened at our showroom at 610 C. Raymundo Avenue, Maybunga, Pasig City. No demonstration, no dentist in the chair. Just the box, the layers inside it, and the units that came out.
We posted it because provenance is a real question in the Philippine market. Endodontic equipment is small, light and easy to ship, which also makes it easy to counterfeit and easy to grey import. A dentist buying an apex locator online often cannot tell, from the listing photos, whether the unit was made by Denjoy or made to look like it.
What The Reel Shows
The reel runs in five beats. Our staff member unties the gold ribbon on the outer Denjoy presentation box. The box opens. An inner carton is lifted out. Then the apex locator box, still sealed. Then three Denjoy handpieces held up together.
That is the whole video, and the sequence is the point. Every layer between the outer box and the instrument is intact, in order, and marked. Sealed inner cartons are how a manufacturer signs its work.

Why The Certification Marks Matter
Denjoy manufactures under ISO 13485 and carries CE 0123 through TÜV Germany. Those two marks are worth understanding rather than skimming.
ISO 13485 is the quality management standard written specifically for medical devices. It governs how a manufacturer designs, documents, builds and traces its products, which is why a unit built under it can be traced back to a production batch.
CE 0123 is a marking issued through a notified body, in this case TÜV in Germany. The four digit number identifies which body assessed the manufacturer. A CE mark with no number behind it, printed on a carton, tells you nothing.
Neither mark makes a device the right one for your practice. What they do is establish that the device you are holding is the device the manufacturer says it is.
The Only Authorised Denjoy Partner Here
DentaSource Direct is the exclusive Philippine distributor for Denjoy. Every unit we sell comes through that channel, in the manufacturer's own packaging, with the documentation that belongs to it.
The practical consequence is service. When a unit that came through us needs attention, we know the batch, we know the configuration, and we can source the part. A unit bought from an unknown seller abroad usually has none of that behind it, and the first time a dentist discovers this is the first time something goes wrong.
Seeing It Before You Buy It
Everything in that box sits on the small equipment counter at the showroom, open Monday to Sunday. You can hold the handpieces, run the apex locator on a demonstration unit, and read the cartons for yourself. Demonstrations and consultations at the showroom are free.
If you are outside Pasig, our product specialist can walk you through the range and send you the specification sheets. The Denjoy lineup, from apex locators and endo motors to the ultrasonic activators, is on the Denjoy page.
