Bound for Davao
On January 28, 2026 our team checked in with the equipment cases for the 36th PDA Mindanao Area Convention and 3rd Davao Dental Trade Expo, held at SMX Convention Center Lanang in Davao City. We had Booth 28 for the run of the show.
Flying a booth to Mindanao is a decision, not a formality. Everything that goes on the table has to be boxed, weighed, checked in, collected at the other end and carried into the hall the same evening. The reel below is that day, from the terminal to the arrivals sign.
Live at MINCON
The doors opened on January 29 and Booth 28 opened with them. The table carried small equipment, handpieces and endodontic boxes, with our roll up banners behind the counter and the product sheets within reach.
A trade expo booth is a filtering exercise. Most people walking the aisle want to know two things quickly. What do you sell, and do you deliver to where I practise. The answer to the second question is what keeps a Mindanao dentist at the counter, and it is yes.
Day Two at the Counter
By January 30 the conversations had changed. Day one is browsing. Day two is dentists coming back with a colleague, a room measurement or a budget in mind, and asking about specific models rather than the range.
That is the day the counter gets crowded, and it is the reason a booth is worth the freight. A dentist in Davao gets to handle the equipment and speak to the same people who will handle the order.
The Last Day
January 31 was the closing day. The reel walks in past the palm decorated entrance, along the exhibit floor, and into the plenary hall for the closing scientific sessions, which were full.
Last days at conventions are quieter on the aisles and busier at the counter, because the people who spent two days deciding come back to confirm before they fly home.
Thank You, Mindanao
On February 2 we posted our thanks from the airport on the way home. Dentists and dental students filled that hall for four days, and a good many of them stopped at Booth 28.
For Clinics Outside Luzon
The practical point of a convention like MINCON is that it removes distance from the conversation. We deliver nationwide and arrange installation on arrival, and the equipment on that table is the same equipment on the showroom floor in Pasig.
