The Event
On July 20, 2026 DentaSource Direct joined the Philippine Dental Association Benguet Chapter for its induction and seminar in Baguio. The chapter inducts its incoming officers and runs a scientific session on the same day, so the room holds a ceremony and a continuing education programme back to back.
We were there with a table on the ballroom floor for the length of the event. The reel we posted that day is a short record of it.
The Table
Our display at a chapter event is not a chair. Chairs belong in a showroom or a trade hall with a loading bay. What travels to a ballroom is the small equipment: the handpieces, the endodontic units, the imaging accessories and the consumables that a dentist can pick up, weigh in the hand and put down again between sessions.
That is also the honest format for an induction. Nobody comes to a chapter night to be sold a chair. They come for the ceremony and the lecture, and the table is there for the dentist who has been meaning to ask about one specific thing for six months.
The Hall
The middle of the reel turns to the room itself: the Philippine Dental Association backdrop dressed with flowers, and the seated audience facing it for the induction proper.
A chapter induction is a working occasion rather than a formality. The incoming officers take on the year's programme of scientific sessions, chapter representation and the practical business of holding a professional community together across a province. In Benguet that community is spread across mountain roads, which makes the days when everyone is in one room count for more.
Why We Go North
Most dental equipment in this country is bought and serviced within reach of the capital region, and clinics in the provinces feel it. The chair arrives, and then the supplier is eight hours away when something needs attention.
Turning up at a Benguet chapter event is part of how that changes. It puts our people in front of dentists who do not pass through Pasig on a normal week, and it puts those dentists in front of us, which is how we find out what the north actually needs rather than what we assume it needs.
We deliver and install nationwide, and a highland clinic gets the same trip planning, the same handover and the same service relationship as a clinic ten minutes from the showroom.
What Comes Of A Day Like This
Not much, immediately. That is normal and it is fine. A dentist who handled an endo motor at a chapter table in July calls in October when the old one finally dies, and the call is short because the question was already answered.
