A DX-A3 For Amba Dental Clinic
Amba Dental Clinic on Alabang-Zapote Road now runs a ROSON DX-A3, and we posted the congratulations to Dr. Renoir Amba on November 8, 2025.
The unit went in with two things worth explaining, because both of them sit inside the chair where nobody sees them and both of them are the sort of specification a dentist only thinks about once something goes wrong.
The Tubing
ROSON fits SMC tubing on this unit, which the manufacturer rates as more durable than the tubing commonly used elsewhere in the class.
Tubing is not a glamorous part, but it is the part that carries air, water and suction to every instrument on the delivery arm, and it flexes every time the arm is moved. Over a few years of a busy clinic that is a great many flexes. Tubing that hardens or splits is the most common reason a treatment unit starts leaking, and replacing it means opening the arm.
The Water System
The second is ROSON's patented EOW-Tech electro osmotic water system, which ROSON describes as purifying and disinfecting the unit's water lines.
The problem it addresses is a real one in every dental chair, whatever the brand. The lines that feed the handpieces and the syringe are very narrow, water sits in them overnight and over weekends, and a biofilm forms on the inside wall. Clinics deal with it by flushing at the start and end of the day and by running a line cleaner. A system that treats the water in the unit itself is a second layer on top of that routine, not a replacement for it.
Why It Matters In Alabang
Alabang-Zapote Road is a competitive stretch, and the clinics along it are increasingly bought on the room as much as the dentistry. Patients read a treatment unit the way they read a car: they cannot judge the mechanism, so they judge the finish, the noise and the comfort.
The specification underneath is the part that decides what the chair costs to own over the next five years. Tubing, valves and waterline hygiene are unremarkable until they fail, and then they are the entire conversation.
