An Upgrade In Marikina
Dr. Mark Ruffy's clinic, Macrodent Dental in Marikina City, now runs a ROSON DX-A3. Our team delivered and installed the unit on July 29, 2025, and we posted the congratulations on November 5.
This was an upgrade rather than a fit out. There was already a working chair in the room, a working schedule around it, and patients booked on either side of the changeover.
Changing A Chair In A Working Clinic
Swapping a treatment unit is the most disruptive thing that happens to an operatory, and the disruption is almost entirely in the services rather than in the chair. The old unit has to come out, the water feed, the drain, the suction and the power have to be capped and then rerouted to wherever the new base sits, and the floor has to be made good.
We plan those jobs around the clinic's diary instead of ours. The usual shape is a full day with the room closed, and the practice opening the next morning on the new unit. What we will not do is leave a room half finished overnight, because a half finished operatory is a closed clinic.
What Changes On The Day
The visible difference is the chair. The difference the dentist actually feels is in the small things: where the delivery arm sits when it is let go, how far the assistant has to reach, how quickly the chair returns to a preset position between patients.
Those are the things worth testing before you buy rather than after. A unit that is a hand's width out of position is a small annoyance on day one and a back problem in year three.
Why It Matters
Marikina is well inside our normal service radius, which changes the arithmetic on an upgrade. A technician can be on site the same week, and the parts that fail first on any dental unit, the valves, the seals and the tubing, are held here rather than ordered in.
