A New Clinic In Bacolod City
NextCare Dental opened its new clinic in Bacolod City on a ROSON DX-A3. Our team delivered and installed the unit on July 25, 2025, and we posted the congratulations to Dr. Christian Alvarez on November 3.
Opening a clinic is a different purchase from replacing a chair. There is no old unit to work around and no existing routine to protect, but there is also no revenue yet, and every decision has to be made before the first patient walks in.
Getting A Chair To Negros
Bacolod is in Negros Occidental, which puts a sea crossing between the showroom and the clinic. A unit bound for Bacolod leaves Pasig by road and finishes the journey by ship, and it travels crated the whole way.
We deliver nationwide, and provincial jobs run on a longer clock than Metro Manila ones rather than a different one. The unit is inspected and cycled through its full travel in Pasig before it is crated, because a fault found on the showroom floor is an hour of work and the same fault found in Negros is a week.
Fitting Out The First Operatory
The chair is normally the first thing a new clinic commits to, because the room is built around it. Where the base sits decides where the water feed, the drain, the suction and the power have to come up through the floor or the wall, and it decides how much room the dentist and the assistant have on either side.
That is why we would rather be in the conversation before the tiles go down than after. Getting the service points right at the fit out stage costs nothing. Moving them later means opening a finished floor.
What The A3 Is For
The DX-A3 is the model most Philippine clinics land on for a single operatory that has to carry a full day of general practice. It is the middle of the ROSON range in the sense that matters: it is specified for continuous clinic use rather than for occasional use, and it is common enough here that parts and technicians are not a problem.
For a practice that is opening rather than expanding, that ordinariness is the feature. A new clinic does not need an unusual chair. It needs one that works every day and can be serviced.
Why It Matters
A first clinic has thin margins in its first year, and an equipment failure in month three is the kind of thing that ends practices rather than annoying them. The questions worth asking a supplier are who installs the unit, how long a technician takes to reach your city, and whether the parts are on a shelf in the Philippines.
