The Job
On June 6, 2025 our team installed a ROSON DX-N1 in Quezon City. The signage above the room reads BJMP MBAI Primary Care Clinic, operated by Life Saver Medical Services, so this one went into a primary care clinic inside a Bureau of Jail Management and Penology facility rather than a private practice.
That makes it one of the less usual jobs in our year, and one of the more useful ones. A working dental chair inside a facility clinic serves people who have very few other ways to be seen by a dentist.
Getting It Off the Truck
The unit arrived on a light truck and came off with a hydraulic stacker rather than by hand. The stacker takes the weight of the wrapped base at the height of the truck bed, so the heaviest single piece of the delivery is never lowered by muscle. A flat platform trolley takes it from there across the driveway.
The unwrapping happened in the covered hall outside the clinic door, which is the sensible place for it. Packaging is bulk, and bulk does not belong in a treatment room that has to be clean by the end of the day.
Carrying the Parts In
From there the unit goes in as parts. The team carries the panels and the sub assemblies through the door one at a time, which is both safer for the finish and the only way most clinic doorways can be cleared.
Inside, the light post goes up. The post carries the arm, and the arm carries the head, so it is the piece that decides where the dentist can put light for the next several years. It is fitted, then swung through its full travel against the ceiling and the wall before anything else is bolted to the unit.
The Unit in Place
The DX-N1 went in with brown upholstery. In the finished frames the light head is mounted and aimed, the delivery unit tray is on its arm over the chair, and the ceramic bowl and its faucet are plumbed at the side.
The upholstery is still in the protective film it travels in. That comes off after the room is cleaned down, not before, because the last hour of an install is the dustiest one.
Handover
The wide shot shows the whole operatory: the chair, the delivery unit with its control panel and hoses, the operator stool, the foot control on the floor and the eye chart on the wall, which tells you this room does more than dentistry.
The handover photo has our technicians standing with the clinic's staff beside the chair, and a boxed LED curing light sitting on the tray. A curing light is what sets composite filling material hard in seconds instead of leaving it to cure on its own, and it is one of the small pieces of equipment that decides what a clinic can actually treat on the day.
Why It Matters
An institutional clinic has the same requirements as a private one and less room to absorb a mistake. The chair has to arrive whole, go in on the day, and work when the crew leaves, because there is no second visit scheduled and no spare operatory to fall back on.
