The Install
On April 16, 2026 we installed a ROSON DX-N2 Pro dental unit for Doc Jake. The reel covers the working day in order, and it is a good illustration of how much of a dental unit is assembled inside the clinic rather than delivered whole.
A unit arrives as crated parts. What is delivered is a set of components and the person who knows how they go together. The chair that exists at the end of the day did not exist in the van that morning.
Light Head, Spittoon and Backrest
The first frame is the light head being wired. The light is the most exposed part of the unit and it carries its own supply, so its wiring is run and dressed before the arm is loaded.
Next is the ceramic spittoon. Ceramic is used because it does not stain from rinses and it wipes down cleanly between patients. It is mounted and then trimmed for level, because a bowl that sits even slightly off will pool at one edge for the rest of its life.
The blue backrest cushion is carried in by hand and fitted to the frame. Upholstery is fitted late, once the structural work around it is finished, so it is not being leaned on and marked while fasteners are being torqued.
The Delivery Unit and the Monitor
The delivery unit is the arm carrying the handpiece hoses, the three way syringe and the control panel. It is the part of the chair the dentist touches every few minutes, so it is set for reach and height against the person who will be working at it rather than to a default position.
The monitor arm goes on next. On a working day it is a patient education tool more than anything else. An intraoral view or a radiograph on screen, at the chair, ends most conversations about why a treatment is being recommended faster than any explanation does.
Checking It Together
The last two frames are the handover. Our technician and Doc Jake go over the finished chair together: the full travel of the seat and back, the light, the delivery unit, the bowl and the water and air lines.
Then the documents change hands. That is the moment the clinic has confirmed the unit is complete and working, and it is the record we hold for service afterwards. We are the exclusive Philippine distributor for ROSON, so the team that installed the unit is the team that answers for it.
Why It Matters
For a clinic owner, an install that finishes in a day is worth more than the spread of a payment plan. Every day an operatory is out of service is a day of appointments moved, and the cost of that rarely appears on any quotation.
